TALK ABOUT THE ALL-AROUND HORSE;
THIS HORSE WILL SIRE THE "DO IT ALL KIND
.
The Simmelink Ranch has
decided because of our age to cut down on our work load and since Touch is
very popular (His foals won big at the 2006 TCF) we have sold him to
John Sirek of Webster, Minnesota (a good friend that owned and did so much
with Barlnk Cadilac Kid). We retained a number of breedings to Touch along with the ability to still
enroll him in the NWSSA, OPHB/TCF and Hells Canyon Futurities and of
course will continue to have 5 or so of our good mares bred to him
each year and will always have foals here at the ranch for sale out of
him. This horse is siring exactly what we've always strived
for here on this Ranch but we also don't want the work that is entailed by
breeding any outside mares and since he ships so well and John will
take such good care of him, promote him, has some awesome mares that will
make great records for Touch it was one way to eliminate a job we just
don't want to wrangle with anymore DON'T MISS YOUR OPPORTUNITY
TO BREED TO ONE OF THE BEST BRED PAINTS IN THE NATION THAT HAS BOTH
AQHA/APHA PAPERS. HE IS A SIRE!!!!

This is undoubtedly one of the
finest young horses in the Nation and his only problem
is that he doesn't have enough color to be a Regular Paint
BUT HE DOES HAVE HIS AQHA REGISTRATION PAPERS.
One Touch won every futurity he was entered in as a weanling against
some
of the best colored colts in the Nation at such shows as the
APHA Paint Horse Congress.
He has the muscling, class, elegance, refinement, depth,
correctness
with a super neck and a super long hip that ends at the top
of his hocks, everything that we all desire.
Plus you can't find a prettier face nor shorter ears
and then add in the factthat he has a great disposition
and passes it on plus he is an ATHLETE....
he should go to the rodeo arena or the show pen in fast events
for the plesure classes. We can't begin to tell you how pleased
we are with this young horse and every day that goes by
we like him better. Touch is working great on our good
Macho daughtersand we believe we've finally found that magical cross
we've desired with modern breeding and still retain Macho
on both sides of the pedigree. This all adds up to the
important look of Macho and Touchdown Kid.
Not only is Touchdown Kid one of the leading
Impressive bred sires but Dream On Me
is one of the finest Mighty Awesome mares in the nation along
with her
dam being a truly great mare. Also think about what Barlink
Macho Man has
contributed to the Paint Horse Industry. We have been seriously
looking
for a colt of this caliber to go on with our
Simmelink Ranch Breeding Program and believe One Touch
along with one of our last Macho Stallions will stand us in
good stead for the balance of our breeding careers.
Below is some more information provided to us by Betty Erickson Jones
that raised Touch and his Dam.........he
comes from a well thought-out breeding program
WE WILL BE READY TO SHIP ON HIM IN 2006 TO A FULL BOOK OF MARES
$750 LFG PLUS SHIPPING CHARGES. HE IS AN EXCELLENT SHIPPING
HORSE.

Condition
Pasture condition during
breeding season and we haven't done anything
to clean Touch up, band his mane, fit him or actually work with him
so he'll consistently stand up correctly. You can be assured that he is a very
true conformation horse, with absolutely straight legs, hock set and good
angles on his front ankles, plus good feet. Touch is very much what you
see, mane and all, a true horse and lives in a big paddock outside
all the time.

Notes
from Betty Ericson Jones breeder of One Touch and his dam, Dream on Me.:
Wayne Pooley is the breeder of ILL SPOT YOU ONE.APHA/AQHA ILL SPOT YOU
ONE is an AQHA cropout sired by GO LUCKY BEN - AQHA CHAMPION and sire of
many producing daughters. ILL SPOT YOU ONE's dam is BARBARA LEA - A Multi-Producer and a
daughter of MR SPANISH LEA. Wayne Pooley also owned ILL SPOT YOU ONE dam,
BARBARA LEA. Wayne told me once when I made a trip to his ranch to see BARBARA LEA,
that that mare had made him more money than any horse he had ever owned. Wayne had owned a
bunch ! He is thought of very highly here in Texas. He was an AQHA judge and trainer of
halter and performance horses. He was really involved in cutting horses (great
trainer). I have had several people that knew him well say that he could be described as a
true" horseman" ...not many of them around anymore. Lynne Simons was one of the
people that thought highly of Wayne. Wayne died from cancer a few years ago.
Notes from
Paula Motley
breeder of Ill Spot You One APHA/AQHA dam of Dream on Me.
I Just talked to Betty and she was telling me about you purchasing One
Touch, I really liked that horse- I owned Go Lucky Ben and ( Barbara Lea for a
short while before her death). She was a great producing mare- Ben was
an AQHA Champion and his points were obtained by Wayne Pooley and John Hoyt. Ben was
a giant of a horse 16 hands but he really seemed bigger than that-he was Massive and
powerful, playful and gentle natured, an easy breeder and I was really attached to him.
Wayne and Susan Pooley owned Barbara Lea at the time we bred Ben to her. Wayne
was an AQHA judge for 25 years and you may remember he showed Docs Hickory to his World
Championship in cutting. Wayne at one time in his younger years worked for the
Brinks ranch here in Texas and that is the folks who owned Mr Spanish Lee a great
broodmare sire, when Wayne left the Brinks ranch he bought Barbara Lea and she went with
him. By the time Ben met her she was about 18 years old and had produced some
very good horses with records-Wayne and Susan stood Ben that year for me and I traded them
a breeding to Barbara Lea for there services. When Spot was born we all thought she was a
regular quarter-but when she shed off she was a paint-needless to say she was quality from
the start and they raised her and loved her, to her yearling year.
We showed Spot some and then Betty saw her at a show and came and just loved her and I
knew Betty would give her a good home and I thought she would show her, but for some
reason she didn't. and you know the rest. Betty and I developed a close
friendship and would talk for hours about what we were going to breed our mares
to-and we really labored over it. Ben was and could have been a Great Broodmare
Sire- I just didn't find it out in time. I have one of his daughters here, her
name is Ben Annie Pudding she is a half sister to Spot and her Dam was a mare called Annie
America AQHA, who is in Perpetulism's pedigree(Jerry Wells), in Real Impressive's
pedigree(Dick Sell) in Perpetuation-Pal and AQHA World Champion, etc. she was a
great mare- Ben Annie Puddin- had a daughter Miss Texas America that is my all
time favorite mare of all my mares-we produced her by breeding Ben Annie Pudding to her
half brother The Texas Brat it was a line breeding as both were by Go Lucky Ben.Ben passed
in l996-he coliced and they couldn't save him he was 14 years old.
Forgive me for rambling-but I could talk horses forever- this is just my way of telling
you what great blood I think One Touch has and what an asset he should be for you. I
have been trying to locate Barbara Leas produce record if I can find it I will send you a
copy. Another mare that came form a Ben daughter is Always Ben AwesomeAPHA out of
(The Ladys Ben LuckyAQHA by Ben) Trisha Shorten showed her for me and that filly also
maide the Honor Roll in l999, Clay and Lori Walker purchased her from
me.
